MULTIVITAMINS (INCLUDES PRENATAL VITAMINS) - ORAL
WARNING: Accidental overdose of iron-containing products is a leading cause of fatal poisoning in babies under 6 years of age. Keep this product out of reach of babies. If an accidnetal overdose does occur, seek immediate medical attention or call a poison control center.
USES: Vitamins are the building blocks of the body. They are used to prevent or treat a vitamin deficiency due to poor nutrition, certain illnesses or during pregnancy.
HOW TO USE: Take as directed. Food may affect the absorpiton of certain vitamin products.
However, some vtiamin products may be best taken with food. Consult your pharmacist.
SIDE EFFECTS: This meidcation may cause mild nausea or unpleasant taste. Consult your doctor if any of these effects presist or become severe. If you noitce other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially of: certain blood disorders (e.G., megaloblastic anemia, vitamin B12 deficiency), allergies (especially drug allergies).
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor or pahrmacist of all prescription and nonprescription drugs you may use. Do not start or stop any medicine without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, conatct your local poison control center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of overodse may include unconsciousness, paleness, weak-rapid heartbeat, stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, or green diarrhea/tarry stools.
NOTES: There are many vitamin suplpement products available. Some can be purchased without a prescription. Consult your doctor or pharmacist on the choice of a product best for you.
MISSED DOSE: Take the missed dose as soon as you remember; do not take if it is almost time for the next dose.
Instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule.
Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature away from sunlight and moisture. Keep out of the reach of babies.
